Where It All Started Part 3

Madison, Wisconsin, home of the University of Wisconsin, and me, for the next 2 years.  I attended the University of Wisconsin for graduate school where I was a full time graduate student earning a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis while also being a full time certified athletic trainer within the athletic department.  The team I was assigned to was the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams, assisted with Football, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball.

Monday thru Friday, I reported to the athletic training room at 7:15am to check in with the teams as morning practice was getting out, work a physician’s clinic on campus, break, lunch, clinic/practice coverage from 1pm-6pm, then class until 9:45pm (only 2 or 3 nights a week).  Although there were many many long days,

In the fall, Saturdays depended on the football schedule.  If there was a home game, I worked on the visitor’s side as the liaison in the event the visiting team’s medical staff needed anything.  99% of the time, I stood on the 20 yard line and watched the game!

Remember, you have to play TheField to win!
